The Rambler is on tour again!

June 22 – The fucking Midnight Rambler is the bloody dark heart of the gig

That’s IMHO, of course, folks. And here it is, right from the opening night, a bit shakey at times, but it got all the basics the Rambler needs. The end is a bit rough, though, just a few seconds too early, but that doesn’t matter.

As this tour goes on, there will be a nice grow of this mini-rock’n’roll opera, and it will be the highlight of each show for the fans.

Just to remember what it’s all about, you’ll find the lyrics of that song (recommended read) just below the video! Enjoy:

More Information

Did you hear about the midnight rambler?
Everybody got to go
Did you hear about the midnight rambler?
The one that shut the kitchen door
He don't give you a hoot of a warning
Wrapped up in a black cat cloak
He don't go in the light of the morning
He split the time the cock'rel crows

I'm talkin' 'bout the midnight gambler
The one you never seen before
Yeah, I'm talkin' 'bout the midnight gambler
Did you see him jump the garden wall?
Sighin' down the wind so sadly
Listen and you'll hear him moan
Well, I'm talkin' about the midnight gambler
Everybody got to go

Did you hear about the midnight rambler?
Well, honey, it's no rock 'n' roll show
Well, I'm talkin' about the midnight gambler
Yeah, the one you never seen before

Don't you do that
Don't do that
Don't you do that
Don't you, don't you do that
Don't you, don't you do that

[...]

Well, you heard about the Boston... ! (Strangler, that is)
It's not one of those
Well, I'm talkin' 'bout the midnight
The one that closed the bedroom door
I'm called the hit-and-run raper in anger
The knife-sharpened tippie-toe
Or just the shoot 'em dead, brainbell jangler
You know, the one you never seen before

So if you ever meet the midnight rambler
I'm coming down your marble hall
Well, he's pouncing like a proud black panther
Well, you can say I, I told you so
Well, don't listen for the midnight rambler
Play it easy, as you go
I'm gonna smash down all your plate glass windows
Put a fist, put a fist through your steel-plated door

Did you hear about the midnight rambler?
He'll leave his footprints up and down your hall
And did you hear about the midnight gambler?
And did you see me make my midnight call?
And if you ever catch the midnight rambler
I'll steal your mistress from under your nose
I'll go easy with your cold fanged anger
I'll stick my knife right down your throat, baby
And it hurts!

June 21 – While waiting for the opening chord…

… of JJF or SMU or even UMT, we can pass some time nice and meaningful by reading an article by Kevin O’Leary at cnbc.com:

Why Kevin O’Leary thinks rocker Keith Richards’ memoir is the ‘best business book on the market’

Hehehe … Kevin thinks, that Keith’s book ‘Life’ is the best business book on the market! Didn’t we know that!

The Press – Ronnie interview – second stage!?

June 20 – nice interview with Ronnie

‘We thank our lucky stars’: Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood on Jagger’s return

He tells  about the days when Mick came over with the news he had to undergo surgery.

“He called us to his room, we knew it was something serious,” Wood recalled. “I think he needed a bit of support, which we gave him.” […] “We’ll step up to the bar, I hope,” he says. “The way rehearsals were sounding… we’re ready. We just need an audience now.”

Then, he also had something to tell about the tour and the stage which will feature a second stage for an acoustic set!

They’ve been testing out a secondary stage where the band will migrate for an acoustic set that features “Play with Fire” and “Sweet Virginia,” Wood said.  “We’ll suddenly be among the people who thought they had bad seats,” he joked. “We’ll be revisiting songs from way back when, which I’m really excited about.”
