Charlie Watts was buried already last week in Devon, UK.
No specific date known so far. I guess we all can imagine that his family wanted this to be a very private and silent funeral with as less public fuzz as possible.
What really strikes me is the fact, that due to fucking Covid restricions, Mick, Keith, Ronnie and the others had to stay in the US, because in case they left it could be possible that they can’t re-enter the states for the tour. That really must have been particularly painful for the band. So they had to stay in Boston.
They will pay tribute to Charlie during the upcoming gigs.

Where are the Stones rehearsing in Boston?
Hi Norman,
oh how I wish I knew …
These days, they especially keep low key. Almost no information leaks and that’s ok, I guess. Must have been hard last week because they couldn’t attend the funeral.
The only thing I have heard was, that the place has some connection to a cinema…
I agree – if they continue in Europe next year, spring for the final tour – maybe RS could invite other drummers to pay tribute, maybe in London, could be filmed, with D Grohl, R Starr, McCartney, Ch Smith, others better and less known but familiar to the band, J Densmore maybe – Tom, Poland
Hi Tom,
interesting, nice thought.
But very unlikely, I guess. The band will have Steve during the US leg of the tour and most probably, they will keep that new formular stable during the EU tour.
Maybe guest spots? Possible…
Just my 2cts worth …
Cheers,
Johannes
One such concert maybe would be possible, in London next year – if anybody is in touch with the band – let Them know this idea – Tom
Charlie Watts was a private person. Have a private funeral suited him. As for Mick, Keith, & Ronnie. I am sure they are hurting inside, and touring will not feel the same for them, especially when they look back at the drummer, and not see Charlie.
I think they should RENAME this tour, and the new album “STRIPPED DOWN INFINITY.”
