Tour is over – what’s next?

The Rolling Stones No Filter Tour 2021

The 2021 US No Filter Tour of The Rolling Stones has seen it’s final show in Miami.

And what a tour it was! Not only could we enjoy Rock’nRoll at it’s finest, but all the hectic beginning with the rumours, waiting for announcements, then the first dates punblished, followed by the run for tickets. Great fun again were the lucky dip tickets.

Did you score one of them? And what did you get? Just click the comment-button below and tell us!

As for the music, the same holds true for the commercial success of this tour. As Pollstar.com tells us, The Rolling Stones once again are the leaders of the pack:

Among the 10 highest-grossing rock acts since the beginning of 2000, the artist with the top gross average at shows set in stadiums or stadium-sized concert sites is, again, The Rolling Stones.

See pollstar.com for many more details on this.

And now, where the boys go?

Sure enough, they enjoy their holidays.

Mick said thank you and good by with a nice tweet: “Thanks so much to everyone who came to the shows!  We all had a ball, hope you did too!” and demonstrating us the stress of finding the right jacket just before the show starts, tougue-firmly-in-cheek :

Ronnie tweeted on November 26, that he has donated his wonderful 1950’s Fender Stratocaster to a charity auction – “happening on Dec 11th – to support musicians in the Gulf South who are struggling to stay afloat post covid.” See the links to the auction below:

If you opt for recent pictures, tabloid The DailyMail has him, Sally and the twins enjoying a bath in Miami – they seem to have stayed there for the holidays.

And what about Keith? Well, he also said good  after the final bow in Miami and of course he hopes to see us again. In Europe next year, most probably…

Hard Rock Aftermath

Ronnie and Hard Rock Live setlist

With the final show at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL, the 2021 US No Filter Tour came to it’s end.

There have been 15 shows if we count in the private gig for The Kraft Family, each grossing an average of roundabout 10 million dollars. Looking back, I can’t believe it’s already over and we have to wait until next year for the announcement of the Europe Tour. Hopefully. It seems like a miracle that this tour took place at all. Bless their hearts, The Rolling Stones prooved once again that they are the greatest Rock’n’Roll band of this planet. Even by watching the YouTubes you can judge for yourself, how tight this band was playing during this tour. Naturally, their performance was not the same as it was 20, 40 years ago. The same is true with us, right? And Charlie is so dearly missed. Again, Steve stepped in and did a great job, I think! In equation, we can consider us extremely lucky to be fans of this band and even hope for one more chapter of this adventure next year. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!

Austin Aftermath

Setlist - The Rolling Stones play Austin, 20.11.2021

Hi there, folks, good morning, enjoy you coffee or tea and here’s the reports from last night’s show:

First, there was a horrible traffic jam when people came for the show. COTA (Circuit of the Americas) got lots of complaints for it’s bad management, as you can see from the tweets.

And here’s a comment from COTA about that traffic hassle (Nov. 22):

 Circuit of The Americas

As for the sound check, they played 2 times Let It Bleed, It’s Only Rock ‘N’ Roll, Rocks Off, some bits of Living In A Ghost Town, Gimme Shelter, You Got The Silver (complete), Midnight Rambler with some (of Mick’s) harmonica and just jamming without vocals, some more parts of Ghost Town.

Strangly enough, there were reports, that after the show it was no problem to get out of there. One report tells of haveing spent 2 hours for the 12 miles on the way in, but that all of that trouble was blown away by Midnight Rambler, which was worth it all… 🙂

As we didn’t find live feeds last night, we can find cosolation in the YouTubes from the gig. See below. I updated the setlist in the post from last night, but here it is once again, FYI:

  1. Street Fighting Man
  2. It’s Only Rock ‘N’ Roll
  3. 19th Nervous Breakdown
  4. Tumbling Dice
  5. Let It Bleed (vote song)
  6. You Can’t Always Get What You Want

  13. Midnight Rambler
  14. Paint It Black

Atlanta Aftermath

The Rolling Stones in Atlanta, November 11, 2021

Another great show by The Rolling Stones.

And the Rambler got his “And it hurts!” ending.

Judging from the feeds we got live that night, I thought that it was an everage night for the Stones. But after checking out the YouTubes, I have to say that the band was on fire, especially Ronnie. As the tour continues, the band plays tighter and all seem to have more and more fun as they play. The Stones present a top notch concert, stage, sound and light.
