Some of the things rushing by keep nagging me like why not share this with you fan-friends?
So here we go: a mix of things I noticed during the last week or something…
1) Nice story in rollingstone.com from 1975: “The Rolling Stones’ 1975 Tour: Baptized in Baton Rouge, Castrated in San Antone – World’s greatest performing band bewilders the south” by Chet Flippo, July 17, 1975
A real fun read!
2) Genesis Publications have issued the headline “Last 200 Commander Copies Now Available!”
They tell us: “We are excited to announce the final Commander copies of T.O.T.A ’75 are now available to order, in celebration of the 50 years since the iconic tour. … In his role as the tour’s official diarist, no area was off-limit for Christopher Simon Sykes. The result is a massive and absorbing 27,000-word narrative accompanying his hundreds of photographs. … Signed by the Stones photographer and diarist Christopher Sykes and tour manager Peter ‘the Commander’ Rudge, these final copies feature a special leather quarter binding with duotone images of the band screen-printed on the front and back covers.“

3) Box Set and Reissue Deals for November 2024 – in mono! € 169.-
Superb deal for the coloured vinyl repress of The Rolling Stones in Mono. You can watch the SDE unboxing we did at the time. The Rolling Stones in Mono is a 16LP repress of the 2016 box set, although this time each record is pressed on COLOURED vinyl.
