March 25 - Party Time for Havanna!
=> The show has ended! Sadly, no streams were available. I'm looking forward to the press coverage that event will get and we all will be enjoying the YouTube videos from this show we can expect to be up in about 1 or 2 days. From the official site, we have this resumee at the end of this tour: Tonight the Rolling Stones played a historic show at Havana's Ciudad Deportiva, to probably their biggest ever crowd ... Mick said, "Here we are finally! We are sure that this night is going to be an unforgettable night, for you and for us ... We know that years ago it was difficult to listen to our music here in Cuba, but here we are, playing for you in your beautiful land. I think that finally things have changed, haven't they?" The Rolling Stones are now heading back to their hometown of London, where they will open their exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery, on 5th April. Also, we can expect the release of "Totally Stripped" (see below), the new album they already recorded songs for as well as hopefully some new tour behind that new album - but just let's wait and see. What a fucking great band they are!!
Pics here from Twitter, Facebook and iorr.org, #5 by B. Vik, iorr.org
=> We hear, that the vatican wanted the Stones to avoid performing on Good Friday but the band politely declined! See more at Mirror.CO.UK
=> Meanwhile, the Stones have arrived in Cuba. And here is Havanna's song vote online, waiting for your choice: You Got Me Rocking | Get Off Of My Cloud | She's So Cold | All Down The Line
=> While we're waiting for tonight's show, we have another reason to be happy: "Totally Stripped" will be released in May this year! It will be basic, deluxe and super deluxe editions. As for the latter, it will contain 1 DVD, 1 CD and another 3 DVDs with the concerts from Paradiso, Olympia and Brixton. Additionally, there will be 1 bonus CD with 3 songs, 2 LPs, 1 T-Shirts and some memorabilia... details will follow. If you're eager, here's the japanese Amazon with more details...
=> 2 more videos here about the event: the first from Deutsche Welle, the second is just a taste from the stage soundcheck (without the band) that took place yesterday (thx Christiano!)
=> As already noted, the Cuba show will be documented by the band. So far, there's no word about an official PPV or free streaming. There's a small hope that Periscope streams will be available, but that's more wishful thinking than something we can expect to happen. But nevertheless - it's not impossible either. Anyway, I'll be there and right in time! You, too, I hope!
March 23 - Waiting for Havanna!
=> The Stones greet the Cuban people
=> Charlie, Bernard and Tim visited the usual Monday evening jazz session class in Miami's Frost School of Music, played some jazzy Stones songs and talked about life in the business and stuff. By this, they nicely passed time until they will be hopping over to the isle of Cuba.
=> Nice article about the Havana gig: Obama visit an 'opening act' for Rolling Stones concert in Cuba (reuters.com) - along with a video with an interview with production manager Dale Skjerseth about the event and organizing:
=> See British Photographer Jill Furmanovsky being excited to be flying out to Cuba to photograph The Rolling Stones at their 'Concert for Amity" in Havana on Friday, filmed by Chrissie Hynde:
=> 'Coro Entrevoces' will be the choir joining the Stones on YCAGWYW! See cubadebate.com for more...
=> Oh dear! What a hell of a tour it was! And do they deliver or what for chrissakes??? Oh yes, baby, yes, they do!! It's just unbelievable! From all we see and hear: just never let someone ask you what the name of the greatest Rock 'n' Roll band ever on this planet was and will be: It's just THIS band! I just can't get it how incredible lucky we are to be part of this for more than 50 fucking years! And oh boy do I wish it could go on forever! Well, ok, that's another point. Still next up we can look forward to the free concert at Havanna, Cuba:

March 10 - Bogota
=> PERISCOPE feeds for us tonight is a bit OFF this time. Also, there are not many live pictures coming from the show. Before the show, RS.com gave us this note, maybe this explaines some of this: "So far there's no sign of the rain that blighted the afternoon. Soundcheck was rained off by a heavy downpour and plenty of lightning, but fortunately the stage has been dried by the diligent crew. The bad weather also meant some challenging working conditions backstage, including floods, leaks, power-cuts and wifi out-ages, but we are now back in business." // // Nevertheless, still SEARCHING!!
=> And here is some report in english yb CCTV about the stage and gig in Cuba:
March 6 - Bogota / Bill / Lisa
=> The band has arrived in the city of Bogota - 2640 m or 8661 ft. above sea-level. See noticiascaracol.com for a video and a report about this. Also: Mick Jagger y Ronnie Wood de The Rolling Stones visitaron el Museo Botero (eltiempo.com) / Así será el concierto de los Rolling Stones en Colombia (rcnradio.com, plan of the stadium and general information) / Los golpes del azar que hicieron posibles a los Rolling Stones (elespectador.com) / Los sitios que conoció Mick Jagger en Bogotá (semana.com)
=> Bill was diagnosed with prostrate cancer. All our best wishes and healthy vibes go out to Bill for his quick and full recovery. The chances for this are good, as his diagnose occured in early stages of this desease.
=> Nice, recommended read about Lisa Fisher, who is on the road, too, although this time not with the Stones: This Little Underground: Famed Rolling Stones backup singer Lisa Fischer steps up (orlandoweekly.com)
March 6 - Lima & Cuba / Jerry and Keith
=> The RollingStones.com - LiveUpdates has this info for us: "The stage will look different for the rest of the tour, as part of it is currently being shipped to Cuba!"
=> The Rolling Stones: esta noche es la fiesta en el Monumental con la legendaria banda (diariocorreo.pe) - The Stones have arrived in Lima March 4 and now have some time to get accustomed to the height & thin air there: Mick Jagger y los Rolling Stones ya arribaron a Lima: "The band arrived in Chile on a flight from Porto Alegre, Brazil, and very cautiously moved to their hotel. [...] The international arrivals board said that the Rolling Stones landed shortly after six o'clock Thursday afternoon. The band left quietly Jorge Chavez airport and used an alternate way to the international departures gate, so they had no contact with their fans. In a caravan, the group went to their hotel in San Isidro. A little more than 100 people waited in place in fron of the hotel, when the group arrived in a grey and a white limousine."

=> So finally, Jerry Hall and Rupert Keith Murdoch have said yes! As for all the details and many pics from the wedding, clothes, models and family members, check out the Daily Mail for all that tabloid stuff...
March 3 - Porto Alegre / Luciana Giminez interviews Mick!
=> What a rain-drenched show that was last night! But it was also one hell of a show! Although not attending the show, I joined the Periscope stream as on every show of this tour. And lucky we were: Fernando's feed lasted from the intro to the final bows - and it was just fantastic! The band was on fire and was rolling with full steam despite the pouring rain. We are incredibly lucky, folks, being fans of this unbelievable band!!
=> Luciana Giminez, mother of Mick's youngest son, Lucas (16), has intervied Mick recently and asked him about 'Vinyl', the relationship within the band and family matters... Nice: we have that interview on YouTube!:
March 2 - The Stones in Porto Alegre
March 1 - FREE CONCERT FOR CUBA! / The Stones in Porto Alegre
=> As for the FREE Cuba-Gig: it's CONFIRMED, it's FREE and it will be FILMED! "We have performed in many special places during our long career but this show in Havana is going to be a landmark event for us, and, we hope, for all our friends in Cuba too." The Rolling Stones will perform a groundbreaking concert in Havana, Cuba on Friday March 25, 2016. The free concert will take place at the Ciudad Deportiva de la Habana and will be the first open air concert in the country by a British Rock Band. Always exploring new horizons and true pioneers of rock, the Stones, who have toured every corner of the globe, will bring their high octane performance and incredible music catalogue to the Caribbean for the first time ever. The gig has been in the planning stages for several months now. Now it is being made possible by the benefaction of Fundashon Bon Intenshon on behalf of the island of Curaçao. It is being promoted by AEG's Concerts West and Musica Punto Zero who extend their gratitude for the support provided by the Institute of Cuban Music in bringing this event to the people of Cuba. The “Concert for Amity” will be filmed and produced by award winning production company JA Digital with Paul Dugdale directing and Simon Fisher and Sam Bridger as producers. Julie Jakobek of JA Digital said: “It's a great honour to be working with the Rolling Stones again on this hugely exciting and historic event”. => Recommended read! - Noticed the tabloids splashing pics about Ronnie and a young woman while Sally was 'sent home' because of the Zika virus? Well, here's something better and worthwhile to read about Sally, Ronnie and two wonderful daughters: Sally Wood: “Do I think about Ronnie's age? Of course I do” (telegraph.co.uk)
=> Apparently, Cuba is booked!!! See for instance "The Rolling Stones will perform for the first time in Havana" at clarin.com - Google translates: "The news was confirmed today the media in the Central American island. It will be the end of March on land adjacent to the "Sports City" in the Cuban capital.". Same content is covered by several other media, like cultura.elpais.com for example ... For some english sources see for instance latino.poxnews.com: Rolling Stones to perform in Havana, Cuban media say
=> Woah! Does the band play Cuba in March and Las Vegas before this year ends? At least that's what can be understood from the article by Robin Leach in the Las Vegas Sun! There, the important lines are: "I can reliably confirm that initial discussions have been held for The Rolling Stones to play the new T-Mobile Arena before year's end. [...] Cuban and Spanish newspapers are reporting from President Raoul Castro's inner circles that Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts have a March 20-21 date, the same as President Barack Obama's scheduled visit, in a 100,000-capacity Havana park. [...] AEG officials from Las Vegas flew to Rio de Janeiro last week to talk with the band about the possible Las Vegas dates." Isn't that just crazy? Wonderful! Our band keeps on rolling! God I love The Rolling Stones!

July 20, 2011 (and for eternity) - The Rolling Stones, Sticky Fingers And The Lost Photo Session
Ok, this comes a bit late. But since there are no more news about the possible gigs for Hide Park or anything like a tour in 2012 right now, I thought we could use the occasion and look back over yonder...
Recently, a treasure of photographs were discoverd after photographer Peter Webb's negatives went missing after shooting the Stones for that monster record "Sticky Fingers". Then, out of nowhere, they are re-discovered after a gap of almost 40 years. Let's have a look... oh man, have a look at Keith's eyes ...
