February 4 – SA TOUR is rolling!

=> The Rolling Stones have done it again: it was a great tour-start last night! The band was raw and played wonderfully, almost perfect, like they did last year. The periscope offers were plenty: I only lost some minutes of the gig, 98% were coming live to my ears and eyes. Fantastic! Mick was as energetic as ever, Ronnie & Keith performed their ‘ancient kind of weaving’, Charlie was as solid rolling as ever and Darryl pleased us with some fine extra-long solo in ‘Miss You’ – I hope, they keep it like that. Also very fine, funky and jazzy, I noticed, was Tim Ries solo after Darryl’s. And Sasha Allen came across very fine on Gimme Shelter. I’m looking forward to her work on that song during the next gigs!. Midnight Rambler had an extra long middlepart and on Satisfaction the folks went completely nuts – you hardly could hear the band play exept for the singing and yelling – it was really wonderfull! They played “She’s A Rainbow” – you don’t hear this song a lot, that was really nice choice as the vote song.

January 25 – Would they do a pre-tour club gig???

=> Yea, that’s the question these days! As the rehearsals are running in LA and they have booked some hotel in Santiago de Chile from end-January on, and tour-start is February 3rd, that doesn’t leave much space for such a date. However, that doesn’t increase it’s unlikeliness… so let’s hope for the best and keep our ears close to the ground in order to hear the first rumbling and be there right in time…

January 23 – Official Announcement for Sasha!

=> Here you go! rs.com just officially announced that Sasha is going on tour with the band for the América Olé Tour which kicks off on February 3rd in Santiago, Chile at Estadio Nacional! That’s so great! Can’t wait to hear her duet with Mick on Gimme Shelter! Way to go for the back catalogue, Sasha, hehehe! Here’s the RS.com announcement

January 22 – Mick, Ronnie & consorts out for dinner in LA

=> Wednesday night, Mick, his girlfriend, Ronnie & Sally visited the Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chao in Beverly Hills, LA… So, rehearsals must be particularly exaustive for Mick as he’s visiting a steak-house not really regularly, hehehe… See the report at tmz.com for some few lines more.

Anyone from SA here to leave some comment?

    January 11 – Sad news

=> Very sad news today. Just after Lemmy left us so suddenly, today we are shocked by the death of David Bowie who struggled with cancer for 18 months. Thanks a zillion, lads, for all that fine music – it will stay with us and we will miss you!

July 20, 2011 (and for eternity) – The Rolling Stones, Sticky Fingers And The Lost Photo Session

Ok, this comes a bit late. But since there are no more news about the possible gigs for Hide Park or anything like a tour in 2012 right now, I thought we could use the occasion and look back over yonder…

Recently, a treasure of photographs were discoverd after photographer Peter Webb‘s negatives went missing after shooting the Stones for that monster record “Sticky Fingers“. Then, out of nowhere, they are re-discovered after a gap of almost 40 years. Let’s have a look… oh man, have a look at Keith’s eyes
