Here we go again!!!!

Here we go again!!!!

Really, folks, this is definitely one of the BEST news I can publish here on stonesnews.com!

Rehearsals have begun. All the stuff, gear, items and things needed are in the right place – even those wonderful old Ampegs  and Fender Twin Amps …

HEY, folks, here we go again! The Rolling Stones are getting their chops together and enter the training camp, hehehe … How wonderful is that? For six fucking decades, we fans are on a rollercoaster and now we just begin the climb towards the height from where the fun begins!

I’ll repeat: this is soooo great! Wonderful!

Catching Fire: The Story Of Anita Pallenberg!

Catching Fire: The Story Of Anita Pallenberg

Catching Fire – docu about Anita coming

The new documentary about German-Italian actress, artist and model Anita Pallenberg by Magnolia Pictures, based on the words of her unpublished memoir, is set to come out in May, and finally, now we are getting a first look at it. Her voice is provided by Scarlett Johansson. Marlon, Angela and of course, Keith are included in the docu. Coming to theaters and VOD on May 3.

A must-have for us fans, I’ld say! Much more so, as “the film is built around a towering archive of home-movie footage“! That’s really a thing looking forward to!

The documentary screened at last year’s Cannes Film Festival, with critic Owen Gleiberman describing Pallenberg as the “beautiful and imperious scenester of the ’60s and ’70s, Hollywood actress and icon of scruffy-chic rock royalty, partner of Keith Richards, muse to several of the other Rolling Stones.” (variety.com)

Mick's having fun!

So far, The Rolling Stones will start or have already started rehearsals.

As to where: must be LA. No further infos known on this subject and maybe, that’s a good idea, ’cause you never know what’s on some folks mind. Security and/or privacy comes first, ok?

Anyway, Mick seems to be in a very good mood as you can see below, hehehe … and check out RollingStone.com for this …

The return of the greatest rock’n’roll band in the world, sixty years after the release of their debut album The Rolling Stones are still very much around; following the release of their debut album, the Stones are on the eve of their sell out Hackney Diamonds US Tour 2024, backing their latest much acclaimed Hackney Diamonds album, their first in 18 years.

Opening acts…

Opening acts…

We now can begin to list the choices for opening acts for the upcoming tour.

First one is Mexican superstar Carin León! He will open for the Stones at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on Tuesday, May 7.

Thanks to his limitless view of música mexicana, León has become one of the genre’s biggest stars. In particular, he has become a leading voice in bridging the worlds of música mexicana and country music. León’s hit single “Primera Cita” blended his Mexican sound with elements of country and blues. This year, he teamed up with country star Keith Urban for the song “Si Me Llevas Contigo” with Rosario. His latest single, “The One (Pero No Como Yo),” is a collaboration with another country superstar, Kane Brown.” (remezcla.com)

More Information

All seem to be well and at sound health! Very good conditions for the upcoming tour, folks! Just 40 days to go… rehearsals should start soon … the excitement is rising!

Rehearsals for the tour !??!

Rehearsals for the tour !??!

With some 45 days to go until the tour starts in Houston, it’s about time …

Usually, rehearsals start well before the first official gig. They need to get in shape (well Mick already is, I’m sure), they have to meet with some gruesome medical examinations and rehearse their huge catalogue of songs. Also, meetings with sponsors and insurances have already been held but continue, there are decisions to be made about the stage design, all the merch and photo shootings  … busy times for the band!

Again, this will be a huge production – the Stones have to defend some reputation in this business!

For us fans, all this has happend almost without our notice, but now, it’s about time again to check out where rehearsals will take place and maybe snap up some of the songs beeing rehearsed.

So far – there’s nothing exciting to tell, but that will change, promised! 🙂
Just in case you’re in the US and have some connections or hear about something connected to the tour or rehearsals, just post a comment or send me a mail!

Keith covers Reed

Keith Richards - I'm Waiting For The Man (Lou Reed Cover)

Ain’t that wonderful!?

Of all songs, this one by the fabulos Lou Reed stood out, etching a huge imprint on my mind with all it’s rotten heroin glory.

Keith: “To me, Lou stood out. The real deal! Something important to American music and to ALL MUSIC! I miss him and his dog.

In honor of Lou Reed’s birthday, Keith Richards has recorded a cover of “I’m Waiting for the Man.” The digital single & music video are out now and featured on the upcoming album The Power of the Heart: A Tribute to Lou Reed, which includes newly recorded covers from Keith Richards, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Rufus Wainwright, Lucinda Williams, Maxim Ludwig & Angel Olsen, Rickie Lee Jones, Mary Gauthier, Bobby Rush, Automatic, The Afghan Whigs, and Rosanne Cash. This special collection will be released by Light in the Attic Records and available on Vinyl & CD at fine independent record shops worldwide on Record Store Day (April 20th).

Keith Richards - I'm Waiting For The Man (Lou Reed Cover)
It goes without saying that the legendary Lou Reed was a true rock ’n’ roll pioneer. From The Velvet Underground’s debut in 1967 all the way through the end of his days, Reed sang truth from his heart. He lived life to the limit—and then some. The Power of the Heart is a tribute to Reed’s freedom of expression with covers spanning his groundbreaking years with the Velvets into his majestic solo career. Each track is a glorious extension of the Rock ’n’ Roll Animal’s soul, ever adventurous and avant-garde.
