Once again, the band gave proof for delivering a great show.

Fans described the gig with words like “Man were they ever on fire tonight” or “a superhuman band” etc. For us here at the screens at home or wherever, we can only judge from the videos of that show – but we must not forget that to be there is a completely different experience compared to what the videos taken from differnet devices show us later. I think we all have already noticed the great differences in the sound of these videos – so that, too, adds to the limited experience we get from them. But even if that is so, you can tell by the examples below, that it was one hell of a show again. Really crazy, this band is almost too good to be real, but they are!
Funny thing on the sidelines: As there were almost no streams to be found during the gig coming from inside the venue, we later still could switch to Dwains stream (part 1 – 20:33, part 2 – 1:25:24) from outside the venue. He streamed from SFM on for the complete show. After a while, he found a place where the sound was much better than at the beginning and he then stayed there and let us witness the complete rest of the show. That was very kind of him. I particularly liked the way he spoke to some of the folks there outside, as he was always very gently, friendly and he even gave one chap some coins when he left the place after the ecores. He also introduced and explained to us the artwork of the Terry Fox Memorial close by. In the chat he was offered a ticket for LA if he could manage to get there and I scincerely hope that this should come true for him because he really deserves it!

I attended the concert in person. My first Stones concert and they were absolutely awesome from start to finish. The bootleg videos absolutely don’t do them justice and they should definitely be seen live if you are able to. All of them are still energetic on stage and sounded incredible for the entire show. Don’t believe anything you read and hear about them being too old or Mick Jagger wearing down as the tour has gone along (he looked like he could sing for another hour when the encore ended).
Steve Jordan is also a great drummer and easily enderred himself to the crowd. He really drives the band in a great way.
Their new songs were great live and fit along side the greatest hits. Street Fighting Man, the vote song and played for the first time on the tour, was outstanding.
But the clear highlight for me was Jumping Jack Flash. Keith Richards power cords on that song we’re breath taking live and no video or recording (official or bootleg) can do them justice. See them while you can!
