HELP NEEDED! Are you from the US or Canada?

Welcome to stonesnews.com! – Something strange has happend since about beginning of this month and maybe you can help me with this:

Visits coming from the US or Canada to this homepage have suddenly dropped by 70%!

And I have absolutely no idea why this has happend!
What a drag: the US tour is in full flight now!

So if you are from the US or Canada, can you tell about problems to access stonesnews.com?
Has it been taken off from the Google search result pages?
I monitor the visits to this page with Google Analytics and there’s absolutely no help offered in this matter – it’s a shame, really.

If you can tell anything about this, I would be very happy if you could just drop me a note via e-mail or write some commend below.

Of yourse, I will continue to write about the tour and provide news, setlists and links to live streams during this tour and beyond!

    Hi Johannes

In my message last night I forgot to mention that there is an awful lot of advertisement on your website. It covers certain parts of the screen – very annoying. I don’t know if this is of importance to you. I enclose a screenshot for you.

    Dear Johannes

You wrote that once you have cast your decision on that large intro page (sorry for that, folks!), it should remember your decision and should not appear again.
Yes, it would be nice if it worked. But unfortunately, I have to confirm all the settings again and again every time I visit stonesnews.com. It is a pity!
Many thanks to you for giving me a lot of happiness with your information about The Rolling Stones!

      Hi Michael,
thanks four this, too! Interesting! I’ll report this, too, to Borlabs. It should safe your decision into a cookie for quite some time and should not ask again at your next visit. Maybe if you try the ‘accept all’ option, it will stop asking again?
OK, let’s have a blast tonight! I have to get some sleep now and get up again at 2:45 AM for the show –

From Redding, California. Using both Edge and Google. No issue with either browser.

    Not an issue in NYC.
A thought- it may not have to do with connectivity, but rather from a lack of interest. I do not connect as much as previously-much less. Nothing has changed in years. But you already know my sentiments.

Hi Richard – true, … could be… but: no. Based on the statistics covering a couple of years, this is a one-off event. Meanwhile, I changed some options in connection with cookies and … here we are again: the number of visits from the US and Canada are back to normal … thanks, Richard, for your comment and be welcome here!

Hi there Dan, Keith, Bloodrunshot, Bill and Tom!!
Thanks a lot, folks, for sending this in. I’m a bit relieved by your confirmations.
I had to add some complicated Cookie-based regulations due to new regulations or I was in danger to get into trouble. Maybe it’s in connection with this technic by Borland’s plugin that Google ignores your visits? Very strange!
I’ll try to get behind this and will ask Borland for support – Google I can’t ask – you can forget Google’s support with Analytics and AdSense.
In any case: let’s have a blast tonight with the Stones in Atlanta!!! 🙂
    Cheers,
    Johannes

I’m from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and have visited the page daily during the tour. About a month ago (in the lead up to the tour) I bookmarked the page because of the uptick in Rolling Stones news. Perhaps others have done the same? Perhaps using a bookmark doesn’t count as a unique visit? That’s one theory anyways.
Otherwise great site, so no issues there.

No issues, still comes up in google and in my favorites. Starting a couple months ago, I now get a large intro page i have never seen here or elsewhere for privacy preferences with many potential options to click/approve regarding 800+ potential cookies/partners, geolocation preferences etc. Says powered by borlabs cookie and is both recent and odd.

Hi Bloodrunshot, thanks for your remarks.
True: Google has appointed me (and others as well) to comply to some new directions in the context of providing pages and ads in accord to some new directions. It’s rather complex and difficult to understand – even for me and I’m not only a Stones fan, but in the IT as well. By using Borlabs technics (as a plugin) I am ‘on the safe side’, I hope and stonesnews.com is in accord with these new rules.
Once you have cast your decision on that large intro page (sorry for that, folks!), it should remember your decision and should not appear again.
May I ask you, Bloodrunshot, are you from the US or Canada? Because if so, your visit was not counted!
